4. THE DESIGN AND PURPOSE OF BAPTISM BIBLE? BAPTISM DEFINED.. “TO PLUNGE OR IMMERSE”… BUT WE WANT A BIBLE ANSWER 1.WHEN PAUL WROTE THE EPHESIAN LETTER, THERE WAS ONLY ONE BAPTISM EPHESIANS 4:5 “One Lord, one faith, one baptism” HOW MANY???

BAPTISM IS IN WATER ACTS 8:36 -38 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

6. BAPTISM IS A BURIAL OR IMMERSION COLOSSIANS 2:12 “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”

8. PETER SAYS BAPTISM SAVES ACTS 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. WHAT IS BAPTISM FOR? “REMISSION OF SINS”

9. PETER SAYS IT AGAIN I PETER 3:21 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ WHAT DOES BAPTISM DO???

11. REASON NUMBER ONE IT IS A COMMAND OF GOD, CHRIST, AND THE HOLY GHOST “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost :”

REASON NUMBER TWO HOW MANY COMMANDS OF GOD CAN ONE REFUSE TO OBEY AND GO TO HEAVEN? 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

14. REASON NUMBER THREE YOU SHOULD BE BAPTIZED PUTS YOU INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST. ROMANS 6:3-5 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? GALATIONS 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ (ONLY 2 VERSES IN SCRIPTURE THAT TELL HOW TO GET INTO CHRIST)

15. REASON NUMBER FOUR ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS ARE IN CHRIST EPHESIANS 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 1. IS HEAVEN A SPIRITUAL BLESSING?

REASON NUMBER FIVE BAPTISM GIVES YOU ACCESS TO THE BLOOD OF CHRIST!!! 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. WHERE WAS BLOOD SHED? BAPTIZED INTO WHO’S DEATH?

17. REASON NUMBER SIX IF NOT BURIED IN BAPTISM, CAN’T BE RAISED A NEW CREATURE Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. CAN’T BE RAISED IF NOT BURIED!!!

18. REASON NUMBER SEVEN JESUS MADE ONE OF THESE STATEMENTS.. WHICH? A.BAPTISM DOESN’T SAVE ANYONE! OR B. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

19. REASON NUMBER EIGHT THOSE WHO DO NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL WILL BE PUNISHED WITH EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT. (II THESSALONIANS 1:7-9) And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

20. REASON NUMBER NINE THOSE THAT DO NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL WILL SPEND ETERNITY WITH THE MEANEST PEOPLE WHO EVER LIVED ON EARTH AT ANY TIME.
