How important is the New Birth to the Christian Walk? How important is your physical birth to your life today?

What would you tell a new Christian to do (or not to do) next?

Matthew 22:35-38 One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and foremost commandment.”

Matthew 22:39-40 “The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” LoveGodLoveothers

When does proper desire become coveting? When it fails to include the love of God and the love of others

Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; 2 and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

Ephesians 5:3-4 But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; 4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

Colossians 3:5 Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.

It Is Not Something that ends with the new birth It Is Something that begins with the new birth Primarily externalPrimarily internal Focused primarily on the negative, on what you don’t do Focused primarily on the positive, on what you do as a result of who you are
