62 Where does Joy come from? Paul lists joy as a fruit of the spirit Joy comes from indwelling of the Holy Spirit It is characteristic of the Kingdom of God  Romans 14:7 “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

63 Ultimate Joy Joy's ultimate expression is through worship of God  Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. ESVUK
