3 Why Bother? 1. God has Chosen YOU. An exalted position of honor. eklektos “…who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.” But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; – 1 Peter 2:9 "For many are called, but few are chosen." – Matthew 22:14

God was prepared for you. “…who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.” For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. – Ephesians 2:10

He was looking forward to you… To the Creator God you are significant; your potential is boundless. "For we are God’s masterpiece," His word says. He not only knows us, but even more, “Long ago, even before He made the world, God loved us."

How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me. – Matthew 23:37

The work of the Holy Spirit in your life. “…who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.” For this is the will of God, your sanctification; … 1 Thessalonians 4:3

Through the Sprinkling of Blood… “…who are chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure.”

Not a Philosophy: through the resurrected and living Jesus Christ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead 1 Peter 1:3

" Stockpiled a Future for You! to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 1 Peter 1:4 “Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ Matthew 25:21

Locked, Secured and Guaranteed! to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:4-5

14 Why Bother? 1. God has Chosen YOU. 2. " Set You Apart for a Purpose. 3. " Gave You a Fresh Start in Life. 4. " Stockpiled a Future for You! Locked, Secured and Guaranteed! By faith, not good works! …protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:4-5

15 Born for Glory 1. You Can Rejoice! Your “Big Bad Trials” are so trite (by comparison)! In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials…1 Peter 1:6

16 1. You Can Rejoice! 2. Re-think Your Wealth! It’s all tied to the proof of your faith: its strength / purity. …you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Peter 1:6-7 Born for Glory

17 1. You Can Rejoice! 2. Re-think Your Wealth! It’s all tied to the proof of your faith: its strength / purity. Your faith is what God values most! [your faith]…may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Peter 1:6-7 Born for Glory

Building Your Relationship with Christ. and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9 Born for Glory

As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. 1 Peter 1:10-11 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven… 1 Peter 1:12 Born for Glory
