2 Habakkuk 3:1-2 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, according to Shigionoth. 2 L ORD, I have heard the report about Thee and I fear. O L ORD, revive Thy work in the midst of the years, In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.

3 Where is Mercy? Mercy is firmly linked to prayer. “A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, according to Shigionoth. 2 L ORD, I have heard the report about Thee and I fear.” Habakkuk 3:1-2

4 Where is Mercy? Mercy can be found in God’s power. 4 His radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays flashing from His hand, And there is the hiding of His power. Habakkuk 3:3-4

5 Where is Mercy? Mercy can be found in God’s measurement. “He stood and measured the earth; He looked and startled the nations. And the everlasting mountains were scattered, The perpetual hills bowed. His ways are everlasting.” Habakkuk 3:6 (NKJV)

10 The Habakkuk Principle 18 Yet I will exult in the L ORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. 19 The Lord G OD is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds' feet, And makes me walk on my high places. Hab 3:18-19

11 How Then Should I Live? Admit my fears. I heard and my inward parts trembled, At the sound my lips quivered. Decay enters my bones, And in my place I tremble. Habakkuk 3:16 “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee. Psalms 56:3

12 How Then Should I Live? Focus on God. L ORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O L ORD. Hab 3:2 (NIV) 16 When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me 17 till I entered the sanctuary of God; Psalms 73:16-17 (NIV)

13 How Then Should I Live? Make God, not circumstances the focus of my joy. Yet I will exult in the L ORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:18 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Phil 4:4

14 How Then Should I Live? Seek strength from God. The Lord G OD is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds' feet, And makes me walk on my high places. Habakkuk 3:19 Do not be grieved, for the joy of the L ORD is your strength Nehemiah 8:10
