11. A Different Kind of King Was Esther predestined by God to become queen? If so, did Xerxes have a choice? Is that a contradiction? No, but it’s a mystery. The fact that we can’t conceive of free choice coexisting with God’s predestination simply reminds us once again that he is God and we are not.

Whether you see Him or not, He is at work in your life this very moment. God specializes in turning the mundane into the meaningful. God not only moves in unusual ways, He also moves in uneventful days.
