2 Monday, December 2 Write the following vocabulary definitions on your own sheet of paper for the bellwork activity. 1. apparatus (noun) Equipment designed to serve a specific function. 2. bribe (noun/verb) A gift offered to persuade someone to do something 3. compel (verb) Force somebody to do something. "We compel all students to fill out this form" 4. complexion (noun/verb) Texture and appearance of the skin of the face. 5. exaggerate (verb) To stretch the truth, such as to pretend that something is bigger than it actually is.
