*Importance: 1. will be read by thousands of people 2. indexing and abstracting services depend heavily on the accuracy of the title, therefore it should be: - accurate - the fewest possible words that adequately describe the content of the research - specific word * it can be modified by the committee ( slight modification)

- Definition of the problem. What have been done till now. - the economical and applied aspects of the problem. - the objectives of the work.

- should be defined precisely - should not exceed 4 objectives - evaluation of proposal by the committee depends on these objectives and how they relate to your research plan. Do not put phrase which indicate that you are going also to find solutions for problems which will be encountered during doing your research.

- related papers - try to avoid repeating your self - show agreement and disagreement in the papers and why (if possible) - you need this part of the thesis for your discussion - connect the different studies. Do not use new paragraph for each study. - refereed journals Only 4 pages are required for the proposal.

Put only the references which you used in the text Check the name and year of publication in the text vs the reference list There are many styles for writing references. Choose the one you expect to publish your work in (Discuss that with your advisor)
