The steps are: o Select the required fields o Specify the common fields, if any o Enter the item details o Save the details in the item details grid  Copy item details from an MS-Excel sheet and paste it in item details grid. The steps are: o Create an MS-Excel sheet with the same order of data columns as in item details grid of Item Master Entry window o Enter the values for each data column o Copy the details from MS-Excel sheet and paste it in the item details grid o Save the details in the item details grid

All Rights Reserved 8 Best Practices  Verify the details in the MS-Excel sheet before copying it  Check whether the information copied from MS-Excel sheet is correctly pasted in the respective data columns in the item details grid  Check whether the values are correct with respect to the data type defined for each data  Make sure that none of the columns is left blank or with null values
