WHO INVENTED THE OLYMPIC GAMES………... the games started when an athlete light a special flame with fire brought from olimpia.

the greek people invented the olympic games for the god zeus. the olympic games were every four years, in honor of Zeus. the olympic games began in 776 bc. the olympic games were stopped by emperor the oDOsis in AD 393. IN 1896 THEY WERE STARTED AGAIN.

they lasted 5 days, people came from all ancient greece to compete in athletics events.

SPORTS THAT WERE INCLUDED The sports that were included in the Olympic Games were Hockey,running, wrestling, jumping, javellingthrouing, discus, Chriot racing, riding. HOCKEY: The greek people use sticks and balls made of straw. JOCKEY: The greek people play a lot of jockey.They made a statue RUNNING: There were three main races. The stade,diaulos and dolichos MACA

WRESTLING: You can't get the opponent from private parts or bite him. BOXING: Ancient boxing had fewer rules than the mother one. There were no rounds in boxing. RIDING: There were 6 laps in racing.The track measure 4.5 miles.

CHARIOT RACING: There were both 2-horse chariot and 4-horse chariot races. JAVELIN THROWING: The javelin stick is as the size of a tall man with a sharp point or a metal point. DISCUS: To participate in discus you have to be very strong.

DAY 5 OLI Presentation of prizes Feasting and celebration After each event, a herald announced the name of the winner, but prizes were not awarded until the last day. The prizes, which were simple laurel wreaths, were only meant to be symbolic. The real prize lay in competition and in the glory of winning. Huge celebration were held when the winners returned home.
