Lessons (1/2) 1. If a church tolerates immorality, the work of God will not prosper 2. A brother in sin should produce humiliation and mourning 3. The church must exercise discipline 4. Purpose of discipline is to save – * the church * the lost soul

Lessons (2/2) 5. Christians who want to remain spiritual must watch their company 6. The church that does not discipline will receive the judgment of God. Rv.2 7. Even if a church neglects discipline, brethren in sin are still lost 8. Though discipline is difficult, it is for everyone’s good. Pro.27:6; 2 Co.2:7
