14 Note: Jesus told them what all the Bible writers had prophesied about His life. Then they knew that He was the true Messiah. Likewise we should let the Bible explain its prophecies. As we study Revelation in light of what other Bible writers say on the same subject, the other texts become “Golden Keys” that unlock Revelation’s “mysteries”. Remember, our personal opinions about Bible prophecy do not count. In fact we are warned not to teach them.

Does God really warn against private interpretations? 2 Peter 1:20 & Rev. 22:18,19 (a) “No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” (b) We are not to add unto or take away from the words of this prophecy.

19 11. Why do some say Revelation can’t be understood? Read: Isaiah 29:10 - 14: Note: Satan’s strategy is to claim Revelation cannot be understood because it is a sealed book or because we are not learned.

24 Note: To clearly understand I must have spiritual insight which is given to those who love and serve God. Also, I must be willing to do God’s will as it becomes clear to me. To disobey God’s truth after it is revealed is dangerous.

Rev. 3:10: “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation which shall come upon the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” Rev. 22:14: “Blessed are they that do His commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
