5  Who are the people in the images?  What do you think the people in the images wanted?  Why?

6  Watch the following clip. http://www.youthforhumanrights.org/  Discuss the clip with the rest of your class  Using A3 PAPER produce a time line with the information you have found out.

8  Split into three groups. Chose a key figure in the human rights story For example; Eleanor Roosevelt. You must agree as a group on the person. Next lesson will be a whole class debate on; ‘Who is the most influential figure in the Human Rights movement.’  HOMEWORK:  ALL learners must bring in evidence of research on their person next week.  All learner must identify questions they wish to raise in the debate

9  Name one human right  Who campaigned for the right to vote for all people (men), not just the wealthy?  Who were the suffragettes?  Why did the UN Devise the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948?
