3  Regional demand for qualified workers who have a bachelor’s degree in Software Development and Computer Programming  According to Washington Technology Industry Association:  27% of all jobs in Washington state are IT-related, and IT related jobs account for two-thirds of the state’s job growth  Tech companies have consistently stated that more baccalaureate degrees in IT-related fields are needed. This is particularly true of jobs that relate to software development, because of the critical shortage of locally-trained workers.

5  Prospective students apply in Winter/Spring  Pre-requisites https://northseattle.edu/programs/bas-applicationdevelopment/prerequisites  Program length – Full time for 2 years (pending previously completed credits)  Students enter the program in the fall with a cohort of 25-30 students and take Application Development (AD) 300 & 400 level courses on a two year track  180 credits total needed for graduation (4 year total)  70 upper level AD Credits, 60 General Education credits, 50 elective credits
