28. Image descriptions 1.Cane carpet beater. The woven head of the beater creates a strong, flat surface that will release dust without damaging the carpet. 2.A pair of Stoneware cider bottles 3.The stone hot water bottle was filled with hot water and put in the bed on cold winter nights. 4.A mincer was an essential item of kitchen equipment. It was used for mincing raw meat and leftovers and for making sausages. 5.A selection of dairy tools including a skimmer or fleeter (a small shallow pan with drainage holes in it - used to skim the cream from the milk), butter pats and mould and a Church Farm Dairy milk bottle. 6.Wooden rattle used as a bird scarer. 7.Made of solid cast iron, the flat iron was heated up on the range or open fire and used to smooth creases from clothes. 8.Different sized milk measures 9.Mangle, dolly tubs and wooden dollies used for washing. 10.Range of Victorian kitchen implements on table with child's highchair to side. 11.Metal milk churn and cheese press. 12.Wheelwright's workshop 13.Blacksmith's anvil 14.Blacksmith’s workshop
