The British Trade Britain took slaves from Africa and in return Africa got rum,iron, gunpowder,cloth and tools.

Three million Africans transported. Britain transported over a 1000 merchants between 1700 and 1810. Clarkson, Wilberforce and Zachary organised the Anti-Slavery society. Anti-Slavery society was for improving slave conditions.

THE TRIANGULAR TRADE ROUTE Many countries were involved in the slave trade. The slaves were taken from Africa then brought to Britain. Most of them died on way to Britain.

Britain traded with India for cotton, spices and silk, Sri Lanka for diamonds, New Zealand for meat,China for tea, and Africa specially for slaves. America was good for sugar and the West Indies were good for their bananas and chocolate.

Most slaves were traded for sugar and alcohol(food).Slaves were from Africa.When travelling by boat with slaves, most of them would die of smallpox even before they reached a country.
