Grade Point Average (GPA) for Graduation ◦ 2.0 for all credit course work completed at TAMUCC. ◦ 2.0 for all business courses. ◦ 2.0 in courses in their designated major. Two Ds Rule: Effective fall 2012, no more than two Ds earned after fall 2007 are accepted toward graduation by business majors in business core classes, courses taken in their business major, and business elective courses.

Community/junior College Transfers ◦ Must seek approval of academic advisor if taking courses at another institution. ◦ Business courses must transfer with a grade of “C” or better. ◦ At least 50% of the business hours required must be taken at TAMUCC. ◦ Courses cannot be used to satisfy upper-division requirements except for BLAW 3310 and ORMS 3310. ◦ Consult academic advisor for specific information and course equivalency guide.

Major Field Test (MFT) ◦ Integral part of the COB’s Assurance of Learning program. ◦ National standardized multiple-choice test developed by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). ◦ Administered to senior business students at many AACSB International institutions in the U.S. ◦ Measures basic knowledge of and understanding of key concepts, theories and analytical methods in the functional areas of business.
