4 AFJROTC What is expected?

5 AFJROTC Refer to Cadet Contract I (student and parent) Being a part of the JROTC program has unique responsibilities. As a part of this program, my school, my community and my country expect me to exemplify a higher standard of integrity, service and excellence in all I do. I agree to abide by the rules, and procedures set forth by the instructors and the cadet leadership of Susan E Wagner High School AFJROTC.

6 AFJROTC ATTENDANCE: Daily attendance and timeliness to all classes is required and is an important part of your overall JROTC grade. Both will affect your grade, your potential for promotion and special awards. Participation in parades is mandatory. (Columbus Day, St Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day, etc.). Cadets will receive community service credit for parades. Failure to attend parades without a legitimate pre-coordinated parental excuse will result in loss of rank.

7 AFJROTC CONDUCT Your conduct in JROTC as well as all of your other classes is expected to be exemplary. Respect and considerate behavior for faculty, cadet leadership and each other is required and expected without question. Anything less will not be tolerated. Cadet leaders track positive and negative performance

8 AFJROTC UNIFORMS Class B’s (blues) will NOT be issued until the $75.00 activity fee is paid in full. This fee will be used for gym clothes, polo shirts, uniform items, and alterations, curriculum aids, etc..(Payment plan available).

9 AFJROTC GRADING Cadets failing any classes might not get promoted. Failing JROTC gym will result in failing JROTC as well. Parent and student must activate a Pupilpath account in order to track student progress. Conduct and Participation33% Dress and Appearance33% Academics34% Test/ Quizzes17% Homework17% Note : JROTC Grooming Standards are mandatory, (hair, facial hair, fingernails, body piercings, personal hygiene, etc.) Additionally, civilian attire must not be obscene, offensive, revealing, or discredit the JROTC program

11 AFJROTC DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS Cadets who fail to follow the rules, and procedures set forth by the chain of command will be disciplined under school policy. Consequences may include detention, alternative lunch, suspension, and loss of rank. Cadets who are suspended during the term might not be allowed to go on any overnight school trips.
