2 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 3 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles‘ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Acts 2:40-42)

Then Peter answered, Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?" And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' "If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God ?” (“ And he commanded them to be baptized. ” (Acts 11:15-17) "And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. 9 The Question Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:29-30)

10 The Answer What must I do to be saved?" So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. (Acts 16:30-32)

Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his Household. (Acts 16:33-34)

13 Jewish “Believers”... Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples he said to them,"Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?“ So they said to him, "We have not heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.“ And he said to them, "Into what then were You baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism.” (Acts 19:1-3) (Acts 19:1-3)

14 Repented... Who had already Repented... Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” (Acts 19:4)

15 Became New Testament Christians When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them. (Acts 19:4-6)
