2. To the left you see a map of Albania in purple. Under that is the Albanian flag. Then beside that are houses and an Orthodox church. To the left of that is a statue and another church.

3. This story is told in two perspectives. 1 st person point of view is used when telling past events. Then, it switches to 3 rd person point view when it goes back to present day. That means this book is a story within story.

4. The problem in the story is that people in Albania were not allowed to be Christians and could not read the Bible. They could not follow CHRIST just because of Hoxha the dictator. If they followed Christ they would either die or go to prison. They also demanded a new government.

5. They were allowed to follow Christ, read the Bible and get baptized again. They also got a new government and their dictator (Hoxha which means dictator) died in 1985. Now when they follow Christ they will not die or go to prison.

6. Baptism is when you get dunked in water from the Jordan River ( the same water Jesus was baptized in) When you get baptized you give your life to Jesus and God.

7. Ati yne: means “our father” the name of the Lord’s prayer Babi: dad or daddy Besorgia: “I believe” the name of Creed Gjize: a cottage cheese made from yogurt Haide: “Come on!” or “Let’s go!” many countries in the region use the same word Hoxha: communist dictator who ruled Albania after World War II until his death in 1985 Jisu Krisht: Jesus Christ Mami: mom or mommy Nena Grandmother, also a respectful way to address older women Gjyshi: Grandfather, also a respectful way to address older men Papa: familiar term to address an Orthodox priest Prifteresa: familiar term to address the wife of the priest

8. Drita :She is the main character in this story. Drita has lots of FAITH in the story for her grandparents back when they had a dictator and made a new rule that you can’t follow Christ. Drita is very interested in Jesus.

9. Drita goes to a Christian school and learns about God. Then she decides to be baptized. Then her grandma and grandpa decide to tell her a story of her ancestors and how Hoxha the dictator (who was the leader of Albania) wouldn’t let Albanians become Christians. Then we come back to present-day and Drita gets baptized.
