Implementation
34
Use the patch as a visual reminder of the Bible stories. Use the patch to review important lessons!
35
On back of uniforms Lanyards Bible cover Adults!
36
Implementation Requires preparation There’s no answer key Opening activity, RP3 questions, closing prayer Add your own ideas! (singing, bring props to act out story, consider your setting) With younger children, encourage parents to participate 30-45 minutes “Put It Into Action” – do something together (encourage another project at home)
37
Implementation If you’re used to planning 4-6 weeks for God and Me, God and Family – continue that format and do 2 patches (6 Bible stories) Special emphasis one month – read a story a week, and then present patches the 4 th week Weekend campout – read a story Friday, Saturday and Sunday; present the patch
38
Implementation Outreach emphasis Supplement your Sunday school programs or children’s or youth ministry programs Use patches to help connect your congregation with the different “outside” groups meeting in your church Family ministry and mentoring opportunities
39
Implementation Challenge older youth to lead the Bible lessons “Relaxed” series – there isn’t a “right” way to do the patch; engaging young people and families in scripture is our goal Rotation of patches and P.R.A.Y. Awards; rotation of new patches and old patches
40
Future Patches The series will keep on growing Will announce new patches – hope to post grid online Sample patches: rocks, fish, trees, sheep, storms, and more!
