In the Matthew 3:11 we read…  “He, shall baptise you with the Holy Ghost.”  “He (Jesus), shall baptise you with the Holy Ghost.” Matthew chapter 3: verse 11  Being baptised with water is fine, but to be baptised with the Holy Ghost is necessary! baptised with the Holy Ghost  Point: Some teach that they must be dipped in water to be saved, but the Word says that we are saved & “washed” when Jesus comes into our heart, and that we shall be “baptised with the Holy Ghost!” To baptise=to dip or to immerse.

4.  “...He, saved us by the washing of regeneration (spiritual rebirth) and renewal of the Holy Ghost.” Titus 3:5  “...He (Jesus), saved us by the washing of regeneration (spiritual rebirth) and renewal of the Holy Ghost.” Titus 3:5 regenerationborn again  Only “regeneration” or re-birth, being “born again” (born the 2nd time) washes us from our sins, not a water baptism ceremony or being dipped in water.  Baptism=Dipping / immersion in something (noun) Ceremony = a solemn ritual Renewal= to make new again. This baby is not washed of his sins by immersion in or sprinkling by water! Titus 3:5

5. Comforter What is the Holy Ghost? Jesus told us it’s a Comforter! John 14:16 To comfort=To help feel better, encourage!” (verb)  “I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may stay with you for ever.  Jesus left us, so we needed another comforter! -- The Holy Spirit!  The Holy Spirit is like a Heavenly Mother who soothes and comforts us

6. the Spirit of Truth The Holy Ghost is also the Spirit of Truth ! John 14:16,17  “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he lives with you, and shall be in you.”  Not only Jesus, but also the Holy Spirit of truth shall be IN you.  The World can’t see, know nor receive the Spirit of Truth.  LESSON: We are not part of the World anymore! Otherwise we also could not see, know & receive the Holy Spirit either!  We are now part of God’s Kingdom and CAN receive the Holy Spirit!

7. Acts 19:2-6) How to receive the Holy Spirit? Acts 19:2-6) Some of the First Christians were baptized, but not in Jesus Name & they did not know about the Holy Ghost! St. Paul talked to them (True Story!)  He said unto them, ‘Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?’ And they said unto him, ‘We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.’  ‘Unto what then were you baptized?’ And they said, ‘Unto John's baptism.’ (Water baptism by John the Baptist.)  Then said Paul, ‘John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.’  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.  And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied. (The Book of Acts 19:2-6)

8. How to be sure we will receive the Holy Spirit? Because Jesus PROMISED God would give it! Gospel of Luke 11:9-13 New Testament.  “I say unto you, ASK, and it SHALL be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  For EVERYONE that ASKS RECEIVES; and he that seeks FINDS and to him that knocks it SHALL be opened.  If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a snake? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?  If YOU then, being EVIL, know how to give good gifts to your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father GIVE the HOLY SPIRIT to them that ASK HIM?”

9. So we just need to ask God for it.  When you ask God for the Holy Spirit, you'll KNOW that you've received it because of His promise.--Just like when you received Jesus into your heart, you knew He came in because Jesus SAID so!  You can receive it right now! Just say to Him:  Dear Jesus, I love You, and know that I need more of Your love and power in my life. So I ask You to please fill me with Your Holy Spirit right now, to give me the strength to do Your will and tell others about You, and be a sample of Your love. Amen.

10. It’s not by feeling or signs, but BY FAITH!  IF you get any feelings or signs, it is the result of your FAITH and OBEDIENCE!  The Holy Spirit shows itself especially when we WITNESS & OBEY Jesus.  “And we are his WITNESSES of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God has given to them that OBEY him.”  “And we are his WITNESSES of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God has given to them that OBEY him.” Acts 5:32  When we obey Him by witnessing to others, the Holy Spirit witnesses through us also.

11. Acts 1:8 Holy Spirit is for WITNESSING mainly, not just for gifts to play with! Acts 1:8  “But you shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be WITNESSES unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  Taiwan, China!  The Holy Ghost is not to play around with inside church buildings, but mostly for WITNESSING to people outside, who are hungry for God’s Love & Truth!

12. The first Outpouring of the Holy Spirit was in an upstairs room. Acts 2:1  When the day of Pentecost [Jewish holiday] was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues [languages], as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The Holy Ghost made them into witnesses with signs following!  5 And there were living at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying to each other, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?  Instead of being shy, God gave them boldness and courage to witness to others!  “With Signs following!”
