Rev. Dr. Samuel P. Fernandez PREACHER Tim S. Dejon, Jr. LITURGIST

It is not a religious song associated with evangelism. It is the teachings of Christ and the Apostles. It can also mean any of the first four books of the New Testament. As Apostle Paul writes: “It is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.” (Rom 1:16, KJV) “I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Gal 1:12, KJV)

“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

The good news is that we have a risen Lord. He is not dead. He is alive forever more. Christ continues His commission thus: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

Christ’s ascension to heaven was not the end of His earthly ministry. He left a spiritual legacy to His followers. Christ’s disciples brought the Gospel not only to the unbelieving Jews but to the Gentiles as well.

You are writing a Gospel, a chapter each day By the deeds that you do, and the words that you say. Men read what you write, if it’s false or it’s true. Now what is the Gospel according to you? We are all missionaries to those who are in the dark, to those who are seeking the light. One need not be articulate, expressive and eloquent. A disciple of Christ is a person living up to Jesus’ teaching. He is a testimony of God’s grace. He is the epitome, the perfect example of God’s saving mercy, a living epistle of Christ’s Gospel.

As Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, a U.S. poet and translator would have it: “Talk not of wasted affection, affection never was wasted If it enrich not the heart of another, its waters, returning, Back to their springs, like rain, shall fill them full of refreshment; That which the fountain sends forth returns again to the fountain.”
11
“ By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:25, KJV)
12
“Go tell it on the mountains, over the hills and everywhere; Go tell it on the mountain, our Jesus Christ is born. When I was a learner I sought both night and day, I pray the Lord to guide me and He showed me the way.”
