Responsibilities STAFF – Keep church and groups focused on mission and vision. Oversee the 3 C’s (Celebrate, Connect, Commit). Oversee and equip base coaches and small group coordinators. BASE COACHES – 101 – Contact new membership candidates about future 101 classes. Promote class, attend class, follow-up with each candidate and give names of those that need to be baptized to minister

BASE COACHES (continued) 201 – attend and help lead class 201 (this involves inviting and promoting the class). If attendees are not in a small group assist them in finding one. 301 – attend and help lead class 301 (this involves inviting and promoting the class). Follow-up with attendees. Schedule interviews and help people to find their ministry. 401 – attend and help lead class 401 (this involves inviting and promoting the class). Develop mission opportunities in the 4 regions

Additional duties, job title for Trey Wooton Summary of position: His title shall be Minister of Children and Mature Adults. In addition to his job description for children, Trey shall lead the church’s ministry to mature adults (55 & up). He will be responsible for all ministry and activities that are directly related to this group. He will continue to be supervised by the Senior Minister or in his absence, the personnel committee.

Minister of Small Groups - Connect Summary of position: He is responsible for leading our small group ministry (this includes FBS and any groups that meet during the week), as well as, our membership process (this includes outreach to nonmembers and those in the community, processing decisions, contacting membership candidates, conducting class 101, and helping new members get assimilated into the church. Through this role, he will help people better CONNECT to one another.

Key Expectations -Teach class 101 at least six times per year -Follow-up with each person who takes class 101 and signs covenant. Move them to next step. -Be the POC for people interested in membership and make the follow-up assignments for The Sunday Report -Develop ways, in conjunction with the rest of the staff, to reach out into the community. -Oversee the promotion of events to the community

Key Expectations (cont.) -Oversee all adult groups at the church: FBS, Wednesday night groups, and any offsite groups. -Provide training for all adult group leaders. -Evaluate each group with the group leader on a quarterly basis. -Help group leaders identify, equip, and empower new leaders. -Establish new groups: seek to keep the size of groups small.

Minister of Missions & Ministry - Commit Summary of position: He is responsible for leading and equipping the church in several areas: maturity in Christ, ministry involvement, and evangelism. He will oversee three of our four core classes (201, 301, and 401). Through these classes, he will equip member with habits to grow in Christ-likeness (201), help members discover their SHAPE for ministry (301), and train members to live daily on mission for Jesus (401). He will also oversee various adult ministries as the need arises

Key Expectations -Teach classes 201-401 (train others to teach classes) several times a year. -Enlist base coaches for 201-401 to assist in teaching, promotion, recruiting, and follow-up Meet with base coaches regularly. -Adequately promote classes 201-401. -Provide follow-up after 201: make sure everyone is connected to a small group. Provide devotional resources for people. Contact class members and see if any assistance is needed

Assist them in obtaining training that might be needed for their ministry. Communicate with other pastors how individuals could contribute to existing ministries - Provide follow-up after 401: regularly communicate with class participants and church about mission opportunities. Develop ways

Key Expectations (cont.) for groups to be more intentional about reaching out, help plan more summer mission trips, work with Minister of Small Groups (connect) and other ministers on outreach events to the community, and help each individual 401 participant to develop next steps for their journey - Oversee any adult ministries as needed (raise up lay leaders for various ministries and equip them for the work). These could include: young adults, men’s, women’s, singles, etc. These
