Maintenance > IB Delete Inactive Users Deleting inactive users correctly is a multi-system process. See the following slides to learn all the steps. NOTE: You will need to know if your financial institution is batch/hybrid or real time. A Note About Inactive Users: Before completing the steps to delete inactive users, be sure to confirm that your consumers are truly inactive. Examples where consumers may appear on the inactive user report but are truly not inactive include: 1. the consumer has bi-annual or annual transfers set up for vacation or taxes 2. the consumer has all bill payments set to pay automatically without logging in Be sure to confirm with the consumer before removing them from Internet Banking.

Maintenance > IB Delete Inactive Users 1.Pull a list of inactive users who are eligible to be deleted from Internet Banking by selecting the Delete Inactive User button. 2.Before deleting the user, go to Maintenance > SRT and Notification Maintenance, enter the User ID, click on Display Notification Summary and Display SRT Summary and delete any outstanding SRTs and notifications. 3. Delete the inactive users’ bill pay accounts if they are active. 4. Batch/Hybrid ONLY: Follow your normal host procedures to code the account to add a purge flag in the daily import file you send to IFS. 5. Re-run Delete Inactive User report and delete the user in one of the following ways: Choose a field from the Sort Field and submit report. Users can be deleted from resulting Reports screen. Enter an individual User ID. Real Time ONLY: Delete all users not active since a certain date. When deleting a group of users, you may find it helpful to print the Delete Confirmation screen listing the users about to be deleted, prior to submitting the delete request. 6. Batch/Hybrid ONLY: After the next batch import file update (next day), run a Batch User Report** to verify that the accounts were purged. (Reports > Batch User Report: Select the ‘closed’ checkbox and enter the date range. ) NOTE: If no accounts appear on the Batch User Report the next day, call IFS’ Customer Service with the list of accounts to be purged from the IFS database. **Access Batch Tools training on the Internet Banking Resources page. 7. Batch/Hybrid ONLY: Confirm the registration information was deleted using one of two ways: Run a Delete Inactive User report and confirm the ID is no longer listed. Go to Support > IB User Data Display. Enter the deleted user’s ID. You should receive an error message indicating the user is not found.

End of Month Reporting: Part of the financial institution's on-going maintenance is reporting. Many financial institutions use end-of-month reporting specifically to determine their growth and their direction for their online channel. It is recommended that the financial institution gather this information on a monthly basis. The Internet Banking End User Activity Report (Reports > IB End User Activity) allows just that. This report features: Snapshot of data extracted from the Internet Banking user database Lists the consumers that would be available if a User Report was completed View information about consumers from the previous business day as well as two historical month-end reports End of Month & Audit Reports Audit Reports: Another on-going responsibility of the financial institution is to track the activities of the Super User and financial institution administrators as well as the consumers. There are three reports that accomplish this task: Reports > MC Console Activity Reports and Home > Log Viewer (administrator activity) and Reports > Activity Reports (consumer activity). Note: See Module 6 for details on creating these reports.

System Maintenance – Practical Applications 1.As an Administrator, where would you go to change your password? 2. What items should you check before you delete an inactive user? 3. You have just stopped home banking and typed in a broadcast message. Does your consumer see that message before or after trying to log in?
