5.  2010 -2011 = 375 total candidates took the examination  244 passed the examination (65%)

6.  Initial test takers must have either a  Entry-level masters degree in occupational therapy; or  A bachelor degree in occupational therapy + a masters degree in occupational therapy and  Complete OTED Application – (additional coursework may be required to satisfy requirements.)

7.  Key Dates  July 2011 – Eligibility change announced  January 1 2013 – deadline for bachelors degree only applications received for processing.  July 31 2013 – all bachelors applications that were previously received must be complete – no outstanding documents and all other requirements fulfilled (i.e., TOEFL)

8.  After July 31, 2013– incomplete bachelor applications will be returned to applicant  Applicants who do not have a masters degree can retest until July 2014. Testing after July 31, 2014 will require a masters degree in occupational therapy

9.  The only new applications that will be accepted after January 2 nd 2013 will be from candidates that have a masters degree in occupational therapy.

11.  Expedited Application Review - begins May 1 st for determination of educational comparability component review of the OTED process.  Application and all requirements must be satisfied  All documents must be included  Turn around time approximately 6 weeks  Fee = $800*  * If the application is incomplete it will be returned to the applicant – a service fee will be deducted from the original fee.

12.  Expedited application for OTED comparability review – must be submitted to NBCOT on CD.  College transcripts, Program Director letter,TOEFL and Verification of Licensure - must be sent as a primary source document

13.  Effective May 1, 2012 OTED application fees:  OTED application materials received via CD for comparability review = $500  OTED application materials received by paper for comparability review = $600  College transcripts, Program Director letter, TOEFL and Verification of Licensure - must be sent as a primary source document
