Discipline Policy RAE follows the Katy ISD discipline policy. The students have an expectation card that is related to the report card. Please look for the expectation card and sign it weekly. Lost expectation cards will result in an “N” for organizational skills. Dress Code Shorts and skirts should be the length or fingertips when hands are held down at a student’s sides. Shirt straps should follow the “2 Inch” rule.

Tuesday Folders Graded Papers School and District Information (Please send the folder back to school each Wednesday.) Grading 45% - Major Assignments and Tests 40 % - Minor Assignments (Classwork) 15% - Other (Homework) Home Access Center (HAC) Contact the registrar for information.

Reteach/Retest Policy When a student fails a major test, the teacher will reteach and allow the student to retest. The average of the original failing grade and the retest grade with a cap of 70% will be recorded in the gradebook. One opportunity for retest

ZAP Lab / Detention ZAP (Zeros Aren’t Permitted) Students who have incomplete work may take advantage of attending ZAP Lab on Tuesday and/or Thursday afternoons. Parents will be notified by the teacher, and asked to sign a ZAP form. Parent Conferences Parents may ask for a parent conference at any time. Please contact the individual teacher. Teachers will contact parents to request a conference if needed.

Other Things Earbuds – Students may find it may comfortable using their own earbuds when on the computers. IDs – Students are expected to wear their school-issued ID at all times. They will not be able to check out library books, and will be sent to the end of the lunch line, if they do not have their ID.
