The Omaha, Nebraska Flash Flood of 7 August 1999 Rainfall duration: thunderstorms regenerate on quasi-stationary front which is reinforced by cool outflow air (mesohigh) Rainfall intensity: enhanced by strong transport of low level warm, moist air Urbanization increased hydrologic response (more rapid runoff)
