STC/AzMERIT – The Connection STC data is the only source of course information collected by ADE and AzMERIT includes EOC assessments ADE is capitalizing on this submission and using it to lessen the load on DTCs to order testing materials Student FileLEA deadline for SAIS and STCDate visible in TIDE InitialJanuary 15, 2015January 28, 2015 IntermediateFebruary 11, 2015February 17, 2015 FinalFebruary 25, 2015March 2, 2015

STC/AzMERIT – The Connection Pesky rule 727 & code mapping changes – Need to change a course code to ensure EOC course materials are ordered? No problem - Warning issued instead of error 100 th day date ranges – To provide the most up-to-date information to TIDE, consider pulling a date range from day 41 – “today’s date” – Count this as 100 th day STC submission – EOY STC date range should be “today’s date” – EOY date
7
AzMERIT Checklist from STC perspective Curriculum/Assessment coordinator(s) should view the EOC course mappings by downloading the 9 – 12 AZ State Course Catalog, (available on ADE’s website)website – The AZ state course catalog course descriptions have been updated to include the statement “This course is mapped to End-of-Course assessment XXXX.” STC coordinator should run a 100 th -day STC report from the Student Information System (SIS) and provide these files to the Curriculum/Assessment coordinator(s). – Note: to ensure that the most up to date information is presented, consider pulling an STC 100 th day that extends beyond the 100 th day. You will not be required to redo a 100 th day STC report for the sake of 100 th day report. Curriculum/Assessment coordinator should make any changes to current course mappings to ensure the right test is administered to the right student. These changes should be made available to the STC coordinator. Once the STC coordinator has received final confirmation from Curriculum/Assessment coordinator, please submit and certify the new 100 th day STC file within SRM. ADE will pull STC data to create the AzMERIT student registrations for EOC testing. Assessment coordinator will be able to view AzMERIT student registrations in TIDE, the computer system that supports the AzMERIT test.

AzMERIT Portal Working with Student Information – Retrieving student records – Viewing and editing students – Adding students – Moving students between schools – Adding, editing and submitting students thru file uploads Let’s check it out… http://azmeritportal.org/
9
The future of STC and AzMERIT Goal is to not create another submission “opportunity” for LEAs – STC will roll into AzEDS, thus ADE will already have data for TIDE application – Coordination of submission requirements will be effectively communicated in a timely manner State course catalog will undergo changes to adapt to the new standards and testing requirements
10
100 th day STC status 73% have certified a 100 th day file! 77% of top 100 high school LEAs by student population have certified a 100 th day file!
