Why consider a coursework subject? “Develop your child’s Interest and Talent” “The developed world is moving towards creativity and innovation.” “4 th : S’pore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) 5 th : Applied University (Design, Culinary Arts)” “More than half of all polytechnic courses require a relevant subject in coursework (i.e. Art, D&T or F&N).”

Child’s Interest and Traits To be do well in the coursework based subjects, your child should possess the following traits:- Be Independent in completing each task progressively at home and in school. Be Available to spend at least once a week in school to discuss/clarify with their progress with their supervisors. Be Inquisitive to keep asking questions about their project. Be Resilient to see thorough challenging portions of the coursework.

In Summary 1. A coursework based subject prepares your child for the future. 2. A coursework based subject is a required subject for more than half of the courses in the Polytechnics. 3. Choose a combination that is reflective of your child’s interest, talent and personal traits. (very important)
