How to Succeed in High School Seek a balance – Academics & Extra curricular stuff Challenge yourself - but don’t over-extend Take your coursework in school seriously ◦ Everything matters now … even if you may never use it again! Study and learn how to study independently Expect to potentially earn a B or C. Make time after school and on weekends to study with others Get involved in school – PARTICIPATE! Decide what motivates you to get a High School diploma Take advantage of help that is all around you ◦ When in doubt, ask questions to adults or other students. Communicate with adults

High School Requirements 28 credits total, including: ◦ 4 Math ◦ 3 Science (Earth and Environment, Bio, IPS OR Chem AND Physics) ◦ 4 English (9, 10, 11, 12) ◦ 4 Social Studies (US History II, World History, American Systems, US History III)
