Emperor Penguin Mikayla Duta 5H 12/10/08 I picked the Emperor Penguin because penguins are my favorite animals and they have a cool ecosystem.

Where They are Located Emperor penguins are located in Antarctica in the Arctic. They live in the coldest climate on Earth. Temperature can drop as low as -140 degrees Fahrenheit.

Characteristics Of a Emperor Penguin A Emperor penguin weighs 80-90 lbs. They stand over 3 ½ feet. They are the longest lived of the penguins with a life span of up to 50 years. Emperor penguins have yellow patches around their ears and at their throat and a long narrow bill.
