2 A FACT is a statement that can be proven true. FACT: A penguin is a bird.

3 An OPINION is how someone feels, thinks, or reacts to something. An opinion cannot be proven. OPINION: Everyone should have their own penguin.

4 Some words in an opinion will try to trick you into believing that it is a fact. Here are some examples:
