Dialogue 2 “The Penguin and the Flamingo”

“Hope”-Emily Dickenson Narrator 4: Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all Narrator 5: And sweetest in the gale is heard, and sore must be the storm, athat could abash the little bird that keeps so many warm Narrator 6: I’ve heard it in the chillest land, and on the strangest sea. Yet, never, in extremity it asked a crumb of me ALL: Let’s TANGO!

“The Penguin and the Flamingo”This is the tale of a penguin This is the tale of a penguin who dreamed of finding romance. He couldn’t soar like an eagle, but how that penguin could dance! He knew the waltz and fandango. He knew the fox trot and twist. Each time the band played the tango, his feet could hardly resist. But he was lonely. If some bird would only give him a kind word or a glance.

But due to lack of height and no true knack for flight, no bird would give him a chance. The penguin saw a flamingo out of the dance floor one night. One look at that tall, pink beauty, and it was love at first sight. He straightened up his tuxedo. He waddled to the flamingo and asked if she’d like to dance. How could a tall bird fall for such a small bird? All the other birds had to stare. But she danced with him to each Latin rhythm. Who could doubt they made quite a pair?

That is the tale of a penguin who found true love and romance. He still can’t soar like an eagle, but how that penguin can dance!
