9 3/ Present perfect ► used to expresses something which has been done in the past but is now completed ► it is called a present tense because it is saying that now, in the present, something is complete StatementNegativeQuestions Short answer I have seen it. 10 4/ Present perfect continuous used to refer to an action started in the past and which still continues. - I have been coking since I got home. - He has been studying Spanish since our last holiday in Costa Brava. + have + been + verb ending in -ING has They have been shopping for the last three hours.

11 Speaking Think of a famous person. Take on their identity. Students will ask you questions to guess who you are. You are allowed to answer only YES or NO.

18 Usage: position in the sentence Adverbs of frequency 1/ before the main verb She never helps me. He hardly ever comes on time. 2/ After the verb be!!! They are always late! I am normally up at 7 o’clock. 3/ After the first auxiliary They have never been to London. He has always been thinking of you.

19 Adverb phrases Usual position is at the beginning of the sentence or at the end: 1.I go running from time to time. They go on holiday twice a year. 2. From time to time we go to the restaurant.
