3. The Olympics include lots of games and sports such as swimming, tennis, cycling and running. People come from all over the world to really see the Olympics. Or some people just watch them on the television.

4. How The Olympics started The myth goes to say that It was said that Heracles had a piano teacher who he didn’t like because he told him that he was bad at the piano. So Heracles killed his teacher and most of the children that upset the gods and made them angry. Heracles decided to do competitions witch he called the Olympic games, but to do this he had to muck out the stables.

6. Ancient Olympics The Ancient Olympics first started in 776 BC. Who could compete in the Olympics? The Olympics were open to any free born Greeks who were 16 or over. The Olympics have been on every year apart from a few years when the War was on. The games first started in Olympia Greece. But there was a big gap between the last of the Ancient Greek games and the first of the Modern Olympic games.

7. Did you Know? That Ancient Greeks used to do most of their games naked! The country Greece has a lot of islands. Its mainland is nearly 365 miles long a nd 343 miles wide. Long ago some Greeks wrote plays that are still being acted to day. They also made great works of art like sculptures of people and their gods.
