In 2012, Chegg began partnering with the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation to power their annual Dell Scholars book scholarships.

Criteria Need based college completion program for Pell grant eligible HS Seniors Academic Middle – Minimum GPA requirement 2.4 (recognize rigor; AP, IB, duel enrollment) Overcome extreme situational adversity while setting high goals for education Participation in approved CRP grades 11 & 12 Plans to enroll in a bachelor’s degree program Fast Facts Avg. HS GPA: 3.1 75% first generation to attend college Avg. Family AGI: 27,000 90% Persistence rate with 961 college graduates 80% six-year bachelor degree attainment Over 2700 Dell Scholars selected since 2004 Award Comprehensive counseling/advising to mitigate challenges and create a successful college completion plan $20,000 to use over the course of six-years Technology – laptop Textbook Credits to supplement financial aid Peer mentoring and support through online scholar community A College Persistence Program that Includes Financial Assistance for High Need Students

Data Review In H1 2014, Dell students took advantage of both the option to buy and rent physical books and eTextbooks for their courses.
