What are some key classes they might take?  Cultivating students to gain the knowledge of both chemistry and management  Hazardous Materials in Chemistry, Destruction Mechanism, Hazardous Materials & Accident Solving Lab  Managerial Economics, Business Statistics, Management Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and Human Resource Management

4. CHM Classes Description Hazardous Materials in Chemistry (3 cr.) This course mainly concern with explosive, corrosive and flammable products in modern industry, students will learn their property and methods to stabilize them. Destruction Mechanism (3 cr.) In this course students will learn why materials is hazardous, how the corrosion and explosion happen in microscopic scale and what combination of elements could form hazardous materials. Hazardous Materials & Accident Solving Lab (2 cr.) Students can do experiments to observe how true hazardous materials damage the surroundings and use proper methods to restrict the reactions and minimize the damage.

Instead, it should be applied talents. They have both the knowledge of chemistry and management. So there is no specific or quantifiable outcomes of how much should each major occupies. Maybe the management major will account for more proportions.

12. 5 questions you may have  Is there a certificate of this major?  Yes. I think we will create a Working Certificate just like Certificate of Accounting Professional. Graduates who want to work in this field should get this certificate before getting a job. This measure also encourages more people to join this field. No matter you are a graduate in this major or not, as long as you gain the knowledge of this major and pass the certificate exam, you definitely can work in this field.

13. 5 questions you may have  What’s the expected salary I can get?  We set the expected salary to be around 70000 dollars per year. Here are the reasons. Compared with pure chemistry major or management major, you have more additional and professional values. And it’s a major related to people’s personal safety. So the salary will be higher than pure management major or chemistry major.

14. 5 questions you may have  Is there any extension of this major?  Unfortunately, there is weak extension in this major. But people in other fields are relatively easy to join this field. Just like working as an accountant that I have said in question 2. You pass the exam and you can pursue a job related to accounting. So does this major.

15. 5 questions you may have  Is it dangerous to study or work in this field?  No. Like what I have said in Question 1. The management major will account for more proportions. So in general, you are an administrative staff instead of chemical researcher. You don’t need to and won’t have many direct accesses to hazardous chemicals.
