11 Idaho’s SD Inclusion Guidelines for Math & Reading All SD NAEP accommodations should be offered for SD students in Idaho. If the students is allowed an accommodation on the ISAT (or on other classroom paper/pencil assessments), then the SC should determine if that accommodation can also be made on NAEP.

12 Idaho’s SD Inclusion Guidelines for Math & Reading Please note the following differences in accommodation practices for the ISAT and the expectation for inclusion on NAEP. The ISAT is completely computer-based and multiple choice therefore different accommodations may be necessary. 1.Students who have the read aloud accommodation on the ISAT Reading assessment should be included in NAEP Reading and should be encouraged to take the test without the accommodation. 2.Only students that require a calculator for testing in their IEP or 504 Plans are eligible for the NAEP calculator version of the test. 3.Students who receive multiple day testing on the ISAT should take the NAEP assessments in one day with breaks, as needed. NAEP is much shorter than the state assessments, so multiple day testing is not offered. Students take two 25-minute subject matter blocks and answer survey questions about their educational experiences. 4.On NAEP, all students write responses in the assessment booklets, not on separate answer documents or on the computer.
