Progress Towards Goals

Some Reminders: Progress Towards Goals must be reported each grading period. Progress Towards Goals must be sent to the parent and filed in the student’s confidential under the blue “Educational” tab. If student is not making progress towards their goal(s) or they are receiving a D or F, the IEP team MUST meet and “Do Something”.

Click the pencil icon in the “P/R” column to edit the Progress Towards Goals.

Check the boxes next to the goals you would like to report on and click “Write Progress on Selected Goals”

Once you have filled out the boxes, click “yes” the goal is “Ready for PR” and click “Update Progress on Goals”.

Once all the goals have “Yes” indicating that they are ready for PR, click “Affirm/Attest PR”.

Once the PR is affirmed, print it by clicking “Print Affirmed PR” or bulk print your entire caseload (See User Manual ).

What about students who do not have goals entered into SEIS yet? You can pull out the last Progress Towards Goals from the student's confidential and circle the next reporting period. or You can log into Web IEP and print out the last Progress Towards Goals and circle the next reporting period.

Home Page Alerts

If your home page alerts are not reporting accurately, this is usually due to an incorrect date and can be fixed using the future IEP.

Click into the student’s “Future” IEP. Then, go to the “Eligibility” page.

Make sure that all the date fields and the “Purpose of Meeting” are correct.

IEP Date – Should be the date that the IEP was held. For multi- day meetings, this would be the first date the team met. Last Annual IEP – Should match the IEP Date if the meeting is an Annual or a Triennial Next Annual IEP – Should be one year from the “Last Annual IEP” date. Last Eval – Should be the date of the last Triennial IEP. Next Eval – Should be three years from the “Last Eval” date Initiation of this IEP Date – Should match the “IEP Date”

Once you have corrected the dates, be sure to click “Save”. This should correct most errors on the Home Page Alerts.

Meeting Participants

Before Affirming and attesting an IEP, It is important that you make sure ALL the meeting participants are typed into the “Team Meeting Comments” page. This will ensure that the electronic record has documentation of who was in attendance at the meeting. Note: The participants only need to sign on the “Parent Consent Page”. The top of the “Team Meeting Comments “ page just acts as a list of who was present. This can be typed in before hand or printed at the meeting. These names should be legible.
