What to do when your battery is low or has expired: Bring your pager to the Telecommunications office to get a replacement battery for your pager.

What to do when your pager is broken or malfunctioning: Bring your pager to the Telecommunications office to have it repaired and/or replaced.

What to do if your pager is lost or stolen: 1.Report the loss or theft immediately to Hospital Police. 2.Report the loss or theft immediately to Telecommunications Office. 3.Pay $80 fee at Property Office. 4.Submit fee receipt to Telecommunications office to initiate pager replacement.

Hours and/or days of Telecommunications Office: Telecommunications is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Customer Service Representatives are on site at all times.

Why you should have your pager with you at all times: It’s imperative that all Harlem Hospital employees carry their pagers in the event of a disaster, trauma, code, or contacting staff members. Pagers are a primary means of communication for HHC employees.

How I can page someone: If paging from inside Harlem Hospital dial #81 on the in-house phone, the 4 digit pager number of the person, the callback number, and #. If paging from outside Harlem Hospital dial 917-729-(the 4 digit pager number), callback number, and #. Some pagers have different numbers and must be dialed fully.

Where I can get more information about my pager: You can pick up a pager manual at the Telecommunications Office.
