Be a STAR In the Bathroom! When our students follow the bathroom expectations, this assures that everyone will have a clean, safe bathroom to use.

“ S ” stands for being SAFE in the bathroom! Examples of Safe Walking to and from the bathroom Keeping water in the sink Keeping hands, feet and objects to yourself. Non-Examples of Safe Splashing water on the floor. Hanging on the doors of the stalls. Running and playing in the restroom Climbing and standing on the toilets or sinks.

“ T ” is for THOUGHTFUL while using the bathroom. Examples of Thoughtfulness Quietly waiting your turn Keeping hands/feet to self Non-Examples of Thoughtfulness Talking loudly Harassing other students in the restroom Peeking under or over the door of the stalls

“ A ” stands for ACCOUNTABLE in the bathroom! Examples of Accountable Using the restroom assigned to your grade Use one squirt of soap Use one-two paper towels. Notifying an adult if there is a problem in the bathroom. Uniform Check: Socks showing Shirt tucked Belt buckled Pants at Waist Non-Examples of Accountable Playing in the bathroom Using the wrong bathroom Wasting the soap, paper towels and toilet paper by using too much or putting it on the floor. Leaving the bathroom with uniform not fixed correctly.

“ R ” Stands for being Respectful in the bathroom! Examples of Respectful Knocking softly on the door to make sure it is vacant before entering. Put trash into the trashcan Examples of Non-Respectful Peeking under or over the door of the stalls. Throwing towels onto the floor of the bathroom.
