2. Testing Schedule Testing English Language Arts/Reading and Mathematics must occur on consecutive school days. The administration of the English Language Arts/Reading and Mathematics assessments does not have to occur during the same week and/or consecutive school days with end-of-grade Science assessment at grades 5 and 8. 6. Eligibility EOGs p. 1 All students in membership at grades 3-8 (according to NC WISE), including students who have been retained at grades 3-8, are expected to participate with or without accommodations in the standard administration of the end-of-grade assessments in English Language Arts/Reading and Mathematics. All students in membership at grades 5 and 8 (according to NC WISE), including students who have been retained at grades 5 and 8, are expected to participate with or without accommodations in the standard administration of the end-of-grade assessment in Science.

7. EOG Eligible Students- Exceptions Exceptions include : o Students participating in the NCEXTEND1 o Students participating in the NCEXTEND2 English Language Arts/Reading, NCEXTEND2 Mathematics and/or NCEXTEND2 Science assessments o LEP students scoring below Level 4.0 Expanding on the W-APT are not required to participate in the English Language Arts/Reading assessment, but are required to participate in Mathematics and Science assessments o Students deemed medically fragile because of a significant medical emergency and/or condition

Eligibility NCEXTEND2 p.1 All students in membership at grades 3–8 for reading and math and at grades 5 and 8 for science whose IEPs designate the use of NCEXTEND2 for reading comprehension and/or mathematics and/or science for testing purposes Exceptions: Students with current IEPs identified as LEP scoring below Level 4.0 Expanding on the state-identified English language proficiency reading placement test and are in their first year in U.S. schools are not required to be assessed on the reading part of the NCEXTEND2. Testing grade levels in two subjects (e.g., Mathematics and Science) on the same day is prohibited. Students at different grade levels cannot be administered tests in the same classroom.

12. Types of Assessment Items (paper/pencil) The English Language Arts/Reading and Science assessments include all multiple-choice items. The Mathematics assessments include multiple- choice and gridded-response items. –Mathematics gridded-response items are found at grades 5 – 8 –Gridded response items are on the first part/the calculator inactive part of the test.

Irregularities School TC and Principal must have current NCID –When a misadministration is declared for the general EOG, the affected student(s) must be re-administered another secure form of the assessment. –When a misadministration is declared for the NCEXTEND2, the affected students must be re-administered the secure form of the assessment no earlier than five consecutive calendar days following the conclusion of the prior administration.
