EMOS - Southampton 24-25 June 2010 4  More than 90% of high-level and average-level statisticians are trained in INSEE schools  More than a third of INSEE personnel is responsible for high-level statistics and economic work, and some of this personnel has management tasks (category A)  Another third is in charge of technical aspects of the statistics and works on production surveys, indexes, etc. (category B)  More than 10% of the personnel, i.e. 25% of senior officers, works in ministries’ statistics departments (SSM)
