Verb be: was / were Utilizamos there was y there were para expresar “haber y existencia” en pasado y hacer distinción entre el singular y plural. Singular: Verb to be was Was para identificar 1 sola persona o cosa Afirmative form / Forma afirmativa: Ex. There was a boy in the river.

Negative form/ Forma negativa (añadiendo not al verbo to be was: was + not= wasn’t) Ex. There wasn’t a dolphin near the island. Interrogative form / Forma interrogative.
