3 Apps Helpful in the Classroom Quick Voice Recorder – Allows you to record students so that they are able to hear themselves read and work on fluency. Ghostwriter Notes – Able to take notes, collect and store information Pages – A word processor on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. You are able to create, edit and save documents.

4 Quick Voice Recorder (free) Allows to record students so they are able to hear themselves read. Able to work on fluency. Can also record entire lessons for students that are absent. Record a book that is read aloud for students that need to hear it again.

5 Ghostwriter Notes ($3.99) Able to take notes, collect, and store information. Can import any image or photo straight from device. Write with finger, stylus, or type notes. Also able to annotate PDF files.

6 Pages ($9.99) Just like Microsoft Word but for an iOS device. You are able to create, edit, and save documents. Able to save in the iCloud to pick up where you left off.

7 Classroom Management Tools My Lesson Plan – Allows you to have a lesson plan in front of you and you are able to create, customize, save, email, and print the lesson from the iPad. Teacher’s Assistant Pro: Track Student Behavior – Allows to take notes on students for a behavior system that is paperless. Allows you to list the action of student, punishment, and keep track of the number of times.

9 Teacher’s Assistant Pro: Track Student Behavior ($6.99) All of behavior is recorded in one place. Keeps track of actions of students and consequences. Able to take pictures for documentation of an incident if needed. Able to store parent information for quick reference.

14 BrainPop and BrainPopJr BrainPOP is a leading producer of online animated educational movies viewed by thousands of students every month. Learn with Tim, Annie, and Moby the Robot! Topics include: history, math, science, social studies, English, engineering tech, arts and music, and reading and writing. Each video has an activity, paper or online quiz, game, writing activity, and a read more activity.

15 YouTube – Videos on anything that is imaginable Songs, read alouds, examples from lessons taught – Make sure you view before you show to students – Videos can be posted as unlisted websites – Some districts may have this site blocked Teacher Tube is not usually blocked and is very useful in the classroom

16 Audacity – Program that students are able to record themselves and then publish onto a DVD – Used this program along with pictures and created a DVD for each student with their voices doing a Reader’s Theater project

17 Spelling City – Can store spelling lists and create printables and students are able to play interactive games – Students can also log in at home and practice words – Can also take the test online and print out their score
