What is Visualization? Visualization is a tool which facilitates students learning of the text,and allow students to use prior information to judge the new information they read.

When & why do we use the technique ? To motivate students. To connect prior knowledge and experience to new learning. To achieve deeper understanding of complex concepts (Problem solving ) To integrate emotional as well as intellectual response

Planning & getting your students ready Picturing spelling word in the shape of an object.( C-> Cat ) The magic E -> “plan> plane” - “man> mane” - “pin> pine” Draw a book illustration. Focusing on a picture( 10-15) seconds.

Things to remember! Consider the need for relaxation period. Keep the suggestions simple. Focus on using the key words that will elect response. Consider what follow up activities that might be used. “ Walk through” the exercise before presenting it.

What instruction to say! While I read, close your eyes and listen carefully. Stay alert and think a bout what happens in the story. See if you can imagine the scene and the words described.

Morals and emotions in visualization Imagine that Maha's mother gave her a new digital watch for her great report card at the end of the school year. She loved her watch and did not want to scratch it. so she put it in her locker – and some body stole it.

How does Maha feel ? What will Maha’s mother think ? How well she feel ? Was the thief thinking of Maha’s feelings? Was the thief only thinking of himself or her self? What kind of people steel from lockers ? are they considerate? Intelligent ? Do they think about other people feelings?
