1. If we compare the World to a village with a population of 100 people, and taking into consideration all of its components, then the village would end up looking like that: -61 Asians - 12 Europeans - 14 Americans - 13 Africans - 52 women - 48 men - 70 coloured persons - 30 white - 31 Christians - 21 Muslims – 48 other religions

2. -6 persons would own 59% of the World’s total wealth - 6 persons ONLY would have the American (US) nationality - 25 would have no shelter - 20 would be illiterate - 50 would be dependent of someone else - 1 would be dying of starvation - 2 would be born - 1 would have a PC - 1 would have a diploma

3. If we look at the World in this way, it would be obvious that comprehension, tolerance and action would be necessary. If you woke up this morning without being sick, you are much luckier than a million persons who are about to die in the next coming days. If you have never suffered from war, from loneliness or from hunger, you are much happier than 500 million persons in the World. If you can go to your worship place, without being forced to do so, without being arrested or getting killed, you are much happier than 3 billion persons in the World.

4. If there is food in your fridge, if you are wearing clothes, if you have a shelter, you are richer than 8% World’s richest persons If you have a bank account, some pocket money or some savings in a small box, then you are one of the 25% of the Earth’s population

5. If you can read this message, you are blessed because: 1. someone has thought of you. 2. You are not one of the 1.4 billion illiterate persons around the world. 3. And... you have a PC !!

6. Thank you, Lord, for all the family, friends and caring persons you put in my way. Thank you for all the wealth and blessings you gave me. Thank you for giving me the wisdom, the will and the energy to transform the World around me and make it a better one. I will try my best to live in a way that, when standing before you and facing your judgement, you would look at me, smile and say: “well son, that was a life worth living…”
