The adjectives have three degrees of comparison: The positive, comparative and the superlative one. Example: Math is as easy as English. (equallity) My mom is taller than my sister. (comparative) Dad is the tallest in the family (superlative) TEACHER: NERIO BURGA SAGÁSTEGUI

For the adjectives of one syllable, the comparative one forms adding - er, and the superlative one adding - est. Example: bright brighter brightest warm warmer warmest TEACHER: NERIO BURGA SAGÁSTEGUI

If an adjective finishes in E, it is only added - r to form the comaprativo and - st for the superlative one. Example: nice nicer nicest polite politer politest free freer freest TEACHER: NERIO BURGA SAGÁSTEGUI

If the adjective only has a syllable, with a single short vowel, and it finishes with a consonant, doublé the last consonant and add- er (comparative) and – est (superlative) Example: big bigger biggest TEACHER: NERIO BURGA SAGÁSTEGUI

If the adjective finishes in y, drop y, before adding - ier and - iest. Example: angry angrier angriest sunny sunnier sunniest dry drier driest TEACHER: NERIO BURGA SAGÁSTEGUI
