4. Comparison of Adjectives (as…..as) We use (as + adj + as ) when we compare people or things which are the same. نستعمل (as + صفة + as) عندما نقارن بين أشخاص أو أشياء لها نفس الصفة. مثال : Samar is as tall as her mother.

5. Comparison of Adjectives (…er + than) Short Adjectives: صفات قصيرة ) ) We use comparative adjectives when we want to compare two people or objects. نستعمل صيغة التفضيل عندما نقارن بين شخصين أو شيئين. مثال : John is shorter than Tom.

Comparison of Adjectives (…er + than) Spelling Rules: قوانين الإملاء 1. عندما تنتهي الصفة ب e نضيف فقط r أمثلة : white  whiter than, nice  nicer than 2. عندما تنتهي الصفة ب ساكن - علة - ساكن, نضاعف الحرف الأخير ونضيف er أمثلة : big  bigger than, thin  thinner than 3. عندما تنتهي الصفة ب y نستبدل ال y ب i ونضيف er أمثلة : angry  angrier than, happy  happier than

7. Comparison of Adjectives (more + adj + than) Long adjectives: ( صفات طويلة ) more\less + adjective + than B.M.W is more expensive than Mazda.

8. Superlative Adjectives (the + …est) Short Adjectives: ( صفات قصيرة ) We use superlative adjectives when we want to compare three or more people or things. نستعمل صيغة المبالغة عندما نريد المقارنة بين 3 أشخاص أو أشياء أو أكثر. مثال : Bill Gate became the youngest billionaire in history.
